Well, fall is definitely upon us! And, as we start to see and feel the change of seasons, we also experience many more sick days, whether our own, or our family's. Kids have all been back to school for some time now, and cooler weather means more time indoors. With the combination of both, come those yucky colds and flus! And, while for many reasons, I do not at all advocate the flu shot, that doesn't mean everyone needs to stay home suffering in bed for days on end. There are many many homeopathic remedies that can quickly heal all those miserable symptoms, the trick is to find the right one, and then let it get you feeling better and back to your life!
Aconitum Napellus, known mostly as Aconite, is a top acute remedy for colds and fevers. Aconite, comes from a beautiful, tall plant with dark blue flowers, from the Ranunculacea family, and is commonly known as Monkshood, or Wolf's Bane. The person needing Aconite has had a sudden, violent onset of symptoms, whether from shock, or exposure to a cold dry wind, or an intense heat.They will be anxious, thirsty, chilly, and restless, and their skin will usually be hot and dry to the touch. Because of the suddenness of this remedy, it is best taken within the first 24 hours. Common Uses:
