Homeopathy never ceases to amaze and delight me! Sometimes it's the cures for lifelong afflictions, for which we've been told to medicate and live with...forever. And sometimes it's the quick miracles that cure or relieve acute situations, before they become a bigger problem.
Anyways, on to the dental work: For the last two decades, I've had severe reactions to the epinephrine in novocaine, used to numb my gums. Seriously scary reactions, putting me in a cold sweat, with all the color drawn out of my face, and making my heart race so intensely I felt I was having a heart attack. Dentist's have come back in ready to work on my teeth, and found me in such an awful state that they had to wait until the anesthetic was practically gone to do their work. One suggestion for this, was to have dentists' use an anesthetic that does not contain epinephrine, and unfortunately, it just doesn't work! They end up having to repeatedly shoot up my poor mouth so many times, that it can take weeks for the soreness in my gums to wear off. Ouch! But, there IS a solution! The homeopathic remedy Chamomilla (to many this remedy is known to help fussy teething babies), taken just moments before the anesthetic is administered, completely solves this problem! I pop a couple pellets in my mouth as I'm brought to the chair, and when the shot is administered, no paleness, or cold sweat, and my heart does not race! Not to say I now enjoy having my teeth drilled, but the reaction I used to have to the shot was so much worse than any procedure, and now as long as I remember to bring my Chamomilla I'm just fine!
